Randolfo René Arza Balart, 96, of Crystal Lake, Illinois, died peacefully, March 26, 2018 at Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
Visitation will be on Monday, April 2, 2018 from 4-7pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 am on Tuesday at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church-451 W. Terra Cotta Ave., Crystal Lake, IL. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Lutheran Home, Arlington Heights, Illinois
René was born January 22, 1922 in Santiago de Cuba, Oriente, Cuba. The son of Benjamin and Barbara (Balart) Arza. On December 5, 1954 he married Ana Luisa Solaún, in Havana, Cuba. He worked as a lab technician at the private practice of Dr. T.A. Texidor since his arrival from Cuba and Columbus Hospital until his retirement.
He was a loving and devoted father of Maria Cecilia (John Howell) Arza, René (Rhonda) Arza, Ana (Dennis) McCoy, Jorge (Julie) Arza and Randy (Anne) Arza ; he was the proud abuelo, “grandpa”, to Megan (Tony), Alex (Natalie), Kyle, Maria Victoria, Ryan, Olivia, Bennett, Ivy (Jarrod)and Heath (Katy); his great grandchildren, Amelia, Zoey, Noelle and soon to be baby Iaccino . He will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one sister, Rery Albis, and three brothers, Romilio, Reinaldo and Radames.
