John Mark Stahl, age 63, died on Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at home with his loving wife Judy Stahl (Harms). John was born in Chicago at Swedish American Hospital to the late John and Dorothy Stahl and was the youngest of 2 children survived by his sister Cari Brown. He briefly lived in Brazil as a missionary child before moving to Rolling Meadows where he was highly involved in Awana Clubs International; this is also where he got his first job. It was here that he met his wife of 42 years, Judy. John and Judy started their family having two children, Mark Andrew ( Lisa Kelly, children- Jack, Molly, Finn )and John Andrew ( Christy Stahl, children - Kirby, Kasper ). The family grew up in Rolling Meadows. Over time he developed an incredible skill in computer programming, which became his career. He worked as a computer architect for the next 30 plus years. He lived out his days happily in Marengo surrounded by his wife, 2 children, and 5 grandchildren. He loved his family, books (specifically Lord of the Rings), and helping others. He now rests safely in Jesus’ arms. He will be remembered by friends and family on Saturday, June 2nd 2018 at 10am, at Willow Creek Community Church (67 east Algonquin road, South Barrington, 60120) immediately followed by a reception.
