Obituary

Gloria E. Kubak, ( nee-Piotrowski) 89 of Chicago, died peacefully, May 13, 2017 with her loving and devoted family by her side.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at Countryside Funeral Home-1640 S. Green Meadows Blvd. Streamwood, IL. Mass will be celebrated 10:00am Wednesday at St. Hubert Catholic Church-729 Grand Canyon, Hoffman Estates, IL. In lieu of flowers, Gloria requested memorials to be directed to a Charity of your choice.
Gloria was born and raised in Chicago on August 4, 1927 the daughter of Edward and Pearl Piotrowski. In November, 1953 she married Hubert A. Kubak. Gloria enjoyed playing bridge, golfing and playing Rummy Q, she was also proud to see the Chicago Cubs win the World Series.
She is survived by her five adoring daughters, Marian (Brian) Stockhoff, Maggie (JoAnn Buysse) Kubak, Madeleine (Hiro) Tsuchiya, Melinda “Mindy” Kubak (John Wasco), and Merrill (Adam Fishman) Kubak and the four lights of her life, her grandchildren, Jin and Ken (Annetta) Tsuchiya, Andrew Schoeneman and Ellen Schaft. She is also survived by her cherished nieces and nephews and her many loving and loyal friends. She is preceded in death by her Husband, Hubert, her brother, Don and sisters, Ruth (Siragusa) Gill and June Walaitis.

Marion, I remember our neighborhood garage sale 15 years ago. Your mom was making sandwiches for your family during the sale. She also made one for me. I will never forget her kindness. I am sorry for your loss.

So many wonderful memories of your wonderful mom. I enjoyed baby sitting for you girls 2 bedrooms for 5 of you. No dish washer. Your mom always had time to love you.
