Mary Lucille Hayes, 86 of Pingree Grove, died peacefully, July 31, 2017 with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00am on Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Lucille was born December 13, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of John and Anna Sasso. On July 16, 1953 she married Charles P. Hayes. She was always involved civically, from Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, to PTA and even volunteering at the voting booths. She was also a publisher/writer of many historical newsletters. She enjoyed swimming, walking and was an avid Cub Fan. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Charles P. Hayes, her children, Theresa (Richard) Colson, Charles (Sheryl) Hayes, Kathleen (Steven) Schultz, Daniel (Kathleen) Hayes, Patrick (Sonya Sexton) Hayes and Sean (Mabel) Hayes. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and by her sister, Virginia Alfini and brother, Al Sasso and by many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and by her son, Phillip and by her brothers, John and Raymond Sasso.

So sorry to hear Aunt Lou passed away . I have many fond memories ; Christmas Eve especially when grandma was alive and everyone came to our house .. She was a wonderful women with a fabulous smile
