Marianne, Nancy, John, & Tom, Sad to hear of your Mothers sudden passing. She was a great lady, and she will surely be missed by all. Hearing that news from my Mom made me think of all the fun times we had at the Sleepy Hollow lake house, those are certainly fond memories for Shirley and I. Isn't it amazing that our Dads were boyhood friends, and remained friends their entire lives. Our Moms have been friends for around 70 years, that is so special. We are so sorry for your loss, and wish your entire family our very best. I know that whenever we conjure up a memory of your Mom & Dad, it will most certainly put a smile on our faces!

Ruth was a dear friend and playmate in Chicago where we were neighbors in our youth. Such great memories of she and all the Bastens!
