Josef Dittrich, 84 of Huntley, died peacefully, September 26, 2017
Visitation will be on Saturday from- 10 to 11:30am at St. John’s Lutheran Church-6821 Main Street, Union, IL. A funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:30am at the Church. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery in Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. John’s Lutheran Church.
Josef was born September 8, 1933 in Romania. In 1957 he married Sara Schmidt. Josef worked and retired from Oscar Mayer & Co after 36 years. He enjoyed gardening and making homemade sausage. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sara, children, Joe (Rita) Dittrich, and Diane Scarbro, by his sister, Helen Puri-Jobi and by his 4 grandchildren, Nicholas, Sara, Kyle and Luke and by 7 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his daughter-in-law, Sandy and by many nieces and nephews
Josef was preceded in death by his son, Manfred and by his grandson, Josef by his brothers, Michael Gimpel, Peter Dittrich, John Dittrich and by his sister, Anna Schuller
