Josephine “Jo Lynn” Lynch, 84 of Sun City, Huntley, died peacefully, October 5, 2017.
A visitation will be on Friday from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home- 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated, Saturday, October 14, 2017, 11:00am at St. Mary of Vernon Catholic Church 236 RT. 45, Indian Creek, IL. Visitation will also be at the church on Saturday from 10-11am. Burial will follow in Ascension Cemetery 1920 Buckley Rd., Libertyville, IL.
Josephine was born April 20, 1933 in Evanston, Illinois the daughter of Gilroy and Mary (White) Carlson. Raised in Forest Park, IL, she married John J. Lynch in 1952. Jo Lynn was a long-term employee at the Walgreens Corporate offices in Deerfield, IL. She will be long remembered for her independence and love of design. A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, John Lynch, Mary Jo Zeller, Jeanne (Robert) Dunne, Kevin (T.Y.Sharry) Lynch, Kathi (Kurt) Green. She is also survived by her 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, and her beloved aunt, Lorraine Boy.
Josephine is preceded in death by her husband, John and two children, Joan Lynch and Judith (John) Nickels.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Lutheran Life Communities Foundation- 3150 Salt Creek Lane, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
