My Condolences to Mike's family and friends. He always had a joke or smile for us throughout Exelon and included you like a brother. He will be missed...

Katherine & Family, I was shocked to her the news about Mike. My prayers and thoughts go out to you. I remember when Mike worked for CSC and then came onboard at Exelon. He was always extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. Mike was able to quickly navigate through the most challenging problems. I am so sorry for your loss.

I've only worked on and off with Mike for the last couple of months or so. My immediate and subsequent impression is he was a good guy, thoughtful, helpful, took action in a timely way, and was just an overall nice guy. My condolences to your family on your loss.

Cathy Guthrie (Exelon) 2017-11-09 12:06:12

I only worked for Mike since March 2016, but he was a good guy to work for: fair, easy-going, knowledgeable. I am so sorry he is gone. My heartfelt sympathy to his family and to his Exelon family- he will be greatly missed.

To the best boss and friend I ever had. You always looked out for us and I was lucky enough to have met you in person a few times. You will be missed.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked in a different group than Mike but sat right next to him for a few years when he was at Lincoln Center. He was such a kind and funny guy. He had a caring spirit and was always eager to help people around him. He will be missed for sure.

Words cannot express my deepest condolences. Mike and I developed a great relationship while working on CTA PHI projects. The support he provided was priceless. When he would come to Baltimore, he looked forward to me bringing him a Philly Pretzels. My heart goes out to the family. Mike will definitely be missed.

Ed Robinson (Exelon) 2017-11-10 09:15:42

Please accept my sincere condolences for this tremendous loss. I had the pleasure of working with Mike for the last 5 years and was completely shocked to hear of his passing. He was an instrumental part of several projects I worked on and was always willing to provide his guidance whenever I had asked for it. We met up several times outside of work and during casual conversations, he mentioned how proud he was of Michael Hunter and his attendance at MIT… always giving credit to Katherine for his intellect. He will truly be missed for his funny remarks, good nature, and that Bluetooth earpiece which I joked on several occasions should have been permanently implanted in his ear. Once again, I offer my deepest sympathy to not only his direct family but for everyone who is missing him as much as I will… Rest in Peace my friend!!

Doris Hehl (ret. Exelon) 2017-11-10 10:06:33

It has been my pleasure to work with Mike since his contracting days at Lincoln Centre. His sense of humor made the most challenging days easier. I've known him to be both generous and kind, a real "stand-up guy". I am so sorry that we no longer have him among us. He passed away too soon. My heartfelt condolences to his beloved family.

Please accept my sincere condolences. Mike and I worked together for many years. Mike always spoke so highly of his Family. I always valued his work ethic, but most of all his Friendship.

Mike was like my twin brother when we worked at Sears Holdings some 10-12 years ago. Although I only knew him for the few years we worked together, it was truly astonishing how similar we were in just about every way possible. Knowing that he will not be around in the physical sense anymore has truly left a void in this world that cannot be filled for those of us who knew him. May you rest in peace my brother & friend, your spirit will live with us all forever.

Almost every conversation I had with Mike ended with me running out of ways to say "Thank You". He was always forth coming, professional, and kind. A man who earned respect with his actions and directness. I am a better person for having known him, and can only hope that other people who were blessed by his presence feel the same way.

Sending condolences and my deepest sympathy. I worked with Mike at Oce and Exelon. Meeting at Oce and both having worked for IBM we literally responded to each other like brothers in a foreign land. As we took lunch with conversations about work and family our comradery began. There was always something that could be learned from Mike, whether technical or just from the natural wit and wisdom he shared in being himself. Many of us who worked with Mike at Exelon admired, appreciated and respected him immensely. Descriptions that readily come to mind amongst our ranks for Mike were (great guy, genuine person, good dude, down to earth, straight shooter). One of the stand out qualities of Mike in leadership roles is he lead by example, he had your back, and wanted to be sure the team was always treated fairly individually and collectively. My hope is his family and friends be blessed with the memories that brought smiles and laughter, joy and comfort, strength and endurance. May those memories help sustain while adjusting to the transition of his energy from this realm. He will be missed but never forgotten.
