Obituary

Amy R. Gille, 42 of South Beloit, formerly of Woodstock, passed away surrounded by family and dear friends on Friday, November 24, 2017 following a courageous battle with cervical cancer.

She was born April 25, 1975 in Stuart, Florida, the daughter of Douglas and Ruthann (Chamberlin) Taylor. At age five, she moved with her family to Belvidere, Illinois where she was raised and educated, graduating from North Boone High School. Amy married and had four children who she raised and adored. She worked as a staffing consultant, assisting and helping people find meaningful employment to improve their lives and the lives of their families. In 2015, she moved to Woodstock, then returning to South Beloit earlier this year as her illness progressed. Amy was passionate about her children, she loved each minute with them and attending their activities.

She is survived by her children, Kate, Olivia, Madison & Jerren Gille all of Cherry Valley, her mother, Ruthann Taylor, her brothers, Ron Taylor and Doug Taylor, all of Roscoe, her significant other, Bill Jorgensen of Huntley and special friends, Mineli Jensen, the Pierson family and Mary Gille. She was preceded in death by her father, Doug and her grandparents, Charles and Ruth Conroy.

A special “Thank You” to Heartland Hospice and all their staff for their excellent care.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. and the family will greet friends after 10:00 a.m. on Friday, December 1st, at St. Rita Catholic Church, 6254 Valley Knoll Drive, Rockford.
