Obituary

Louise A. Fraley, 81 formerly of Cuyahoga Falls, OH, passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in South Elgin, IL.

She was born October 31, 1936 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of Omar and Bessie (Varner) Armentrout. She was united in marriage to Ralph D. Fraley in Akron on July 20, 1957. Louise had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned and operated her own floral business, Petals and Bows, in Tallmadge, Ohio. She was a longtime member of The Chapel in Akron, where she was heavily involved in the nursery, women’s ministry, wedding coordination and writing and leading women’s Bible studies. In later years, she moved to Huntley, Illinois to be close to family.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl (Chris) Tlapek of Huntley, her son, Darrell (Ruth) Fraley of West Palm Beach, her grandchildren, Nathan, Natalie, Jake (Nicole), Sean, Jonathan (Emma), Julia and Quin, her great-granddaughters, Mila and Elsie, her brother Duane (Peggy) Armentrout and her sister-in-law, Liz Armentrout. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Ralph, and her brother, Ron.

For those in the Chicago area, the Tlapek Family will host a gathering of family and friends to honor Louise on Saturday, December 30th at their home (9987 Stockton Lane in Huntley). There will be an Open House/Visitation from 3:30-5:00 p.m. followed by a celebration service. For those in the Akron area, a memorial service is being planned for Spring 2018 in Akron. In lieu of flowers or other gifts, donations in Louise’s honor can be made to the Revive Project at www.thereviveproject.org. Dear Darrell and Cheryl families, I am sorry to hear of the passing of your mother and grandmother. I know that our Lord will provide the peace and comfort that you need at this time.
