So sorry to hear of Wally's passing. May he rest in peace and the family find the comfort of God's loving hand at this sad times. We will miss Wally very much as we have played pinochle with him for many years. He always had a story to tell, most likely related to the fire dept. God Bless him and his family.

very sorry to hear about his passing. i met Wally some years ago at St. Charles chess club and liked him right away. he was tough chess player and a true lover of the game. many Thursday nights he would set up positions from games he had play through correspondence. we had lots of fun looking over his games. when ever the Hawks were playing or the Cubs he would come over to me during longer games and whisper "whats the score?" as he knew i would be checking on my smart phone. i will miss him.

I read about Wally's passing; it was touching. Even when someone live a long life, it is hard to accept death. It is conforming to know that he had a loving family. I read in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 that there will be a resurrection of all of those in the memorial tombs. Therefore I have the hope that I will see my dead love ones again. Please accept my condolences for your lost.

I met Wally at the St Charles Chess Club. He was a fun guy to play against. Always playing with his analog clock adding a little heartbeat to an otherwise quite room. He will be missed for this and more.
