Ruth J. Bolanowski, 91 of Huntley, formerly of Palatine, died Sunday, January 7, 2018 peacefully with her family by her side.
Ruth was born September 23, 1926 in Chicago, the daughter of Bertl J. and Ruth J. (Skola) Jensen. Ruth was married to Theodore Wolinski on September 13, 1947. Following his death, she was united in marriage to Edward J. Bolanowski. The couple raised their four children in their longtime residence on Iowa Street in Chicago. They later moved to Palatine where she worked for Northwest Community Hospital. Ruth was active in the VFW. She enjoyed dancing, sewing, cooking, shopping for purses and shoes and most of all enjoyed fishing on vacations.
Ruth is survived by her children, Carol (Timothy) Johnson of Huntley, Robert (Kathleen) Bolanowski of Algonquin and Janet Kotaska of Crystal Lake, her grandchildren, Tracie, Ryan and Jessica and her great-granddaughter, Lily. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Theodore and Edward and her son, Jimmy.
Visitation will be from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, January 13th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
