Lucjan Kuc, 83 of Huntley, passed away at Hearthstone Manor in Woodstock on Thursday morning, February 8, 2018 following a lengthy illness.
He was born March 27, 1934 in Poland the son of Jan and Julianna (Barnois) Kuc. He was united in marriage to Wladyslawa Dziewirz on August 2, 1958 in Poland. The couple came to the United States and Lucjan worked as a laborer in the manufacturing industry. He especially enjoyed his grandchildren, the outdoors and gardening.
He is survived by his daughter, Irene of Huntley, his son, Stanley (Nanette) Kuc of Crystal Lake, his grandchildren, Daniel, Allison, Stephen, Caroline and Jack Kuc, his sister-in-law, Maria Drozdowska, along with exended family residing in Poland and the United States. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Wladyslawa and five brothers and sisters. A special Thank You to JourneyCare Hospice and Hearthstone Manor for their excellent care.
Visitation will be from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 12th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and on Tuesday, February 13th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 1023 McHenry Avenue, Crystal Lake from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Animal House Shelter of Huntley.
