Richard H. Scott, 78 of Sun City, Huntley, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the University of Illinois Hospital in Chicago.
He was born October 27, 1939 in Melcher, Iowa, the son of David R. and Jessie L. (Luke) Scott. He moved with his family at an early age to Chicago where he was raised and educated. He was united in marriage to Mary Ann Koehnke on January 10, 1959. The couple made their home in Chicago where they raised their family. Richard worked for Jewel Foods for thirty-six years, retiring in 2005. He enjoyed fishing, bowling, gardening, playing cards and bocce ball. He had been in the softball league in Del Webb.
He is survived by his wife Mary Ann of Huntley, his daughters, Debra (William) Lavazza of Buckeye, Arizona and Kim (Bill) Petrucci of Island Lake, his grandchildren, Lisa Roth, Amy (Teddy) Rodden, Ellyn Boyle, Emily (Jose) Rodriquez, Jessica, Jennifer, Joseph and Annalese Petrucci, his great-grandchildren, Landon, Faith, Carter, Kevin, Makayla, Charlotte, Adrian and Declan. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Donna and Phyllis.
