Joyce B. Petersen, 78 of Huntley, died peacefully, February 21, 2018 at her home with her family by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018, 11:00am at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church, Huntley. The family will greet friends at Church from 10-11. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
Joyce was born August 2, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Charles and Hannah J Holmes. On November 5, 1960 she married Robert A. Petersen. She worked for 44 years as a loan officer for Community Savings Bank. She was an avid gardener, she loved angels and butterflies. Joyce was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Robert, son, David (Michelle) Petersen and by her granddaughters, Melissa and Cassandra. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Chuck and sister, Arlene.

My deepest sympathy to you and your family. While it is never easy to lose a loved one take solace in that she is enjoying a new life with God. I pray that God gives you comfort during this sorrowful time.
