Michael J. Kaus, 75 of Algonquin, died peacefully, May 13, 2018 at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Thursday, May 17, 2018 from 4-8pm at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be in Holy Apostles Cemetery in McHenry. Michael was born December 24, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois the son of Victor and Lorraine Kaus. He married Marianne Przyblski on September 12, 1970. He was a salesman/food broker and owner of his own business until his retirement. He was devoted to and loved his Church. He was an avid Bear’s fan, enjoyed traveling with his wife, but his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Mike was a loving, and kind, husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Marianne, his loving children, Kevin, Kaus, Kathleen (Bill) Kittner, and Kristin Kaus, by his dear grandchildren, Madeline Grace, Brian Patrick, and Allison Renee. He is also survived by his brother, Bob (Sharon) Kaus and sister, Vicki (Jim) Kevil and by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
