Elaine Struensee

Obituary

Elaine R. Struensee, 83, of Huntley, died peacefully in her home.
Elaine was born in Chicago on August 25, 1940, to parents Phillip and Helen (nee Wojciechowski) Archacki. Her first job was at Andy’s Candies in which she shared fond memories, and was a graduate of Good Council High School.
Elaine was very social and greatly enjoyed being with her friends. Favorite activities included playing Bingo, Bunco, and Bocce Ball in Del Webb's Sun City, and hanging out at the pool in the summer. Her style was her own, mainly her consistent blue nail polish in varying shades and kept an immaculate house. Holidays were a favorite in celebrating with her family. She was looking forward to Easter and sharing her favorite dish of Polish sausage and sauerkraut. Elaine was strong-willed and independent, and loved her family. She will be missed dearly.

Elaine is survived by her children, Laura (Scott) Jankovec, Deanna McClure, and James Struensee, her grandchildren, Kerstyn (fiancé Matthew Sherrill) Jankovec, Kevin (Marissa) Jankovec, and Megan Jankovec, many loving cousins, and her dear friend Elaine Erny.

Services for the family were private.

Elaine will be missed by her friends at the Huntley Legion Bingo, I being one of them. She always had a smile, and very easy to talk to. Rest in peace Elaine.

My heartfelt condolences to Elaine’s family. She talked often about her grandchildren. Elaine was one of the people who that n welcomed me when I move to our neighborhood 11yrs ago. Will miss her at our Bunco group, with her special “rolling twist of the dice”. Elaine always had a smile and a helping hand at our neighborhood functions. Memories of Elaine will begin with a Smile.

I worked with Elaine @ First Midwest Bank for over 15 years & we had so many memories during our time their—Elaine said how much fun she had @ Sun City & said you have to move there which I did when I retired—I always ran into Elaine @ pool & we’d talk about old times & our families—I sure will miss my friend.
