Romeo P. Batad, 79 of Carpentersville, died, May 31, 2017 at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on 4-8pm on Friday, June 2, 2017 at DeFiore Jorgensen Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30am on Saturday, at St. Catherine Sienna Catholic Church-845 W. Main Street, Dundee. Burial will follow at St. Michael the Arch Angel Cemetery in Palatine.
Romeo was born January 2, 1938 in the Philippines. On January 30, 1971 he married Anatalia Gonzalez. He worked as a mechanic and was a devoted husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife, Anatalia, his children, Arnold (Marilyn) Batad, Romina (Nester) Narciso and by his granddaughters, Michelle, Erica, Monica and Carissa. Romeo is also survived by his brothers, and sisters, Remedios, Teresita, Lucila, Flordeliza, Hermenegildo and Cecilia.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Leticia.
