Eleanor L. Law, 98 of Woodstock, passed away at Hearthstone Manor on Monday afternoon, September 18, 2017 following a short illness.
She was born September 6, 1919 in Chicago, the daughter of William and Minnie (Selke) Reineke. She was united in marriage to Edward Law and the couple made their home in Berwyn where they raised their family. In retirement they moved to Mountain Home, Arkansas. She and Edward enjoyed attending craft fairs where they sold wooden toys that they made for children to appreciate. Following her husband’s death she met Jack Flint and the couple shared 17 years together. Over the years she enjoyed bowling, playing cards, traveling to Branson, Missouri, going on cruises and watching the Lawrence Welk Show. In 2013, they moved to Woodstock.
She is survived by her significant other, Jack Flint of Woodstock, her daughters, Judy (Robert) Shaw of Marengo, Sue (Patrick O’Donnell) Kerzisnik of Appleton, Wisconsin, her grandchildren, Mark Nepil, Kim Stoddard, Matt Kerzisnik and Bradley Kerzisnik, 5 great-grandchildren and her niece, Lorene Decatur. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward, her brother, William and her sister, Ruth.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 8th at Hearthstone Village, 840 N. Seminary Avenue in Woodstock. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bridget Nepil Special Needs Trust, 5N230 Deerpath Way, St. Charles, Illinois 60175. Our sincerest sympathy. We are so fortunate in having such a beautiful lady in our life for 17 years. Eleanor thank you for being such a special friend to all of us. You will always hold a special place in our hearts. Rest in peace sweet, dear, Eleanor.
