I couldn't imagine when I moved into my home in Sun City 10 years ago that I would be living next door to two of the best neighbors a person could want. The parties and laughter on your patio, the generosity of Melanie always insisting on Michael bring out snacks and appetizers and inviting friends to stay for dinner. It won't be the same without you Melanie, you surely will be missed.

Melanie you lived your life as a testament to what it means to be a good person. You were so caring and loving and generous. And a great cook too! I still have and use all those recipes you gave me! When we came over for dinner you would send us home with container after container of leftovers. Everyone’s kids were your kids. You made them feel so special by giving them gifts and having movies for them to watch and setting a special table for them. Everyone was welcome. Just writing this puts a smile on my face. That’s how you made people feel and how you lived your life. We will miss you as God welcomes you home. Your light will shine forever in all of the hearts you touched.

Michael,, I have some idea of what you're going through right now. Grief is love with nowhere to go. I can't tell you it gets better, but you learn to live with it. You and Melanie were very special to Stu and I. Party on you two!!!!!

I don't believe that Melanie ever met a stranger. She was one of the most giving people we've ever had the please to be around. When she was near, there was always a lot of laughter, and food. She has definitely left a huge void in our lives. I know she will be smiling down on us as a ray of sunshine. We miss you already.
