Obituary

Tracy T. Scaggs, 55, of Woodstock, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Centegra Hospital in Woodstock.

He was born August 2, 1962 in Elgin, Illinois, the son of Oscar and Frances (Meyers) Scaggs. He lived for a time in Lake In The Hills and moved with his family at an early age to Zenda, Wisconsin and graduated from Big Foot High School in Walworth. He enlisted in the United States Navy and served for seven years. Following his discharge, he returned to Wisconsin and became the golf course superintendent at the Whitewater Country Club. He moved to Fontana, Wisconsin where he raised his children and furthered his education at Gateway Technical College. Tracy worked for a number of years as an IT Specialist for BMO Harris Bank in Chicago. On October 11, 2012 he married Christine M. Slagle and the couple made their home in Woodstock. He enjoyed bowling, golf, camping and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Christine, his son, Taylour Scaggs, his daughter, Ayla Scaggs and his brother-in-law, Jeffrey Slagle all of Woodstock.

A Memorial Gathering will be held from 12:00 noon – 4:00 p.m with a 3:30 p.m. Time of Sharing on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. The family requests you to bring a favorite memory to share. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Tracy Scaggs Family. With heartfelt sympathy to the family of Tracy Scaggs - I knew him to be an honest man - able and always willing to assist anyone in need - - - always mindful for the safety and comfort of his beloved wife, Christine - - - involved - - - astute - - - equitable. I am so sorry for your loss. I served with "Red" on board the USS Haleakala AE-25. He was a great person and a wonderful friend.
